Mr Basil and his father made my family feel right at home. They’re kind, courteous and generous hosts who made our stay worth remembering. The check in was smooth and late night conversation with Basil’s father was one of the better moments of our trip. It’s situated right near the forest entrance and the rooms were smelling great and spotlessly clean!! Drinking water and every basic amnesties we’re provided prior to checking in. All the fine restaurants and cafés are situated in close proximity of the property. I’d highly recommend this place eyes closed and I’d happily come back here again! 5/5 any day!!

Mr. Abdul and his family are wonderful hosts, kind and attentive. The room was comfortable, very clean, in a calm area of Thekkady, very close to the entrance of Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and the Wildlife Office Premises, where you can book the activities inside the Park. It was a very nice moment and I really enjoyed it, especially the conversations with Mr. Abdul, and his great sense of humour. I felt like at home, so I recommend Thekkady Homestay wholeheartedly to enjoy your visit to the area. Thanks and hope we'll meet again!

you get more than you expect! The room is big, clean, just perfect. The location is in the middle of everything. But the hospitality is like 200%!!! They offer you drinks, lunch to join with them. The hole family is very kind and do all to give you the most pleasant stay! They real love it to welcome you, you feel en see it in everything! Most recommended place I have been in India. I stayed longer also because of the welcoming atmosphere here!

The cleanest hotel that we have stayed in ever and the hosts were incredibly kind, friendly and helpful in every manner. There was no restaurant at the homestay but there is a very good restaurant at Hotel Ambady exactly across the road serving excellent food. Though the homestay is right at Ambady junction and its facade is unpretentious, the rooms are sufficiently spacious with hot water and a balcony facing the forest. You can be assured of a quiet night's sleep as the rooms are towards the rear of the building. And this area of the town is even otherwise quiet once the Periyar tiger reserve closes for the day. There are a lot of places to stay at Thekkady, but believe me this is probably the best.

This is no doubt the best property to stay in Thekkady. The location of the homestay is right alongside the Periyar National Park, in fact you can look towards the park through the back balcony. The rooms are great and are no less than a 3 star hotel, in fact more. The four bed room, in which I stayed with my family is a super large room and is the ideal room if you're staying with your family. The host family is super friendly and warm which adds to a perfect homestay.

Fantastic location for the Nature Reserve. Rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Family were really helpful & laid on early breakfast for us before our trek. Owner helped us find restaurant for evening & was really helpful. Breakfast was great. Real value for money & lovely family - thankyou.

I enyojed my stay at thekkady homestay alot! Greatest housing in india Ive been to so far. Very welcoming and helpful family and nice and clean rooms. Calm and safe area around and everyone seem to know the family. The closest restaurant give a good discount and their i highly recommend there cashew nan! Hope I will come back some..
